About Steel Fortress
Steel Fortress is a free retro tank battle arcade. Each stage sends 20 enemy tanks from the top of the map while you guard the energy core at the bottom. Brick walls crumble under fire, steel only breaks with a fully upgraded cannon, water blocks tanks but not shells, forests hide everything and ice makes you slide. Fast scouts, double-barrel strikers and four-hit heavy tanks get more common as you advance. Flashing enemies drop power-ups: shield, freeze, fortified walls, cannon stars, a bomb and extra lives. Clear 35 stages, then keep going on harder loops and chase your best score on desktop or mobile.

How do I play Steel Fortress?
Move your tank with the arrow keys or WASD and fire with Space. Destroy all 20 enemy tanks on a stage and do not let them hit your base core at the bottom of the map.
What do the power-ups do?
Shield makes you invulnerable, freeze stops enemies, fortify turns base walls to steel, stars upgrade your cannon, bomb destroys all enemies on screen and the tank icon gives an extra life.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Use the four arrow buttons at the bottom left to move and the fire button at the bottom right to shoot. Both portrait and landscape work.
